It’s Fall Ya’ll!! I’m so excited to be bringing my first fall recipe for the blog to everyone this season, Caramel Apple Pie Sangria! I’ve been really focused on video, so there will be a video for this one, but it was super important to me to give this a permanent home, as it’s requested every year! This sangria is the perfect big batch drink to bring to everyone for those cool weather gatherings, around a bonfire or if you’re like me and go to the tailgates for the food and fun! Either way, this is one you want to keep all through the fall and winter! So let’s get into the recipe!

A Little Bit About It…

The inspiration for this apple sangria came back in 2018 when I moved back home to Maryland. My mom loves a good cocktail and she’s really great at them. I, on the other hand, am not! But somehow, I’m great with punches. In my mind, sangria is a great punch and we all know I love apple flavor during fall, so I wanted to have a drink that played to my strengths and that I could serve to my mom without a look of her trying to like it.

I think it all comes down to the balance of flavors. The base of this drink is apple cider and I like to use my homemade apple cider because it has a complex flavor blend of spices and it’s the right level of sweetness for me to enjoy in a glass alone, or as the base to other recipes (like apple cider bbq sauce!).

From here, we use brandy, lemon juice, wine, fresh fruit and, the secret weapon, a little caramel extract. Once the sangria is mixed, I like to add in some fresh cut apples and orange slices, a cinnamon stick and a star anise and let it set for at least an hour, up to a day before serving. When you’re ready to serve, pour in a glass over ice, top with sparkling wine or ginger beer and enjoy! It’s really that easy! Pair it with some of my other fall recipes and live your best life! Alright, let me give ya’ll the recipe for this delicious, easy caramel apple pie sangria!

That’s all I have for ya’ll today. If you make this, be sure to tag me using #lizeeangel or join the NikNacks and follow me!. You can find me on tiktok , pinterestinstagramfacebooktwitter and youtube!
