Easy Caramel Apple Pie Sangria (Red or White)

An easy, one pitcher sangria recipe that brings the flavors of apple pie to a punch that's perfect for all your fall dinners, gatherings and tailgates!

- 1 750ml bottle wine, white or red dry wines work best to reduce sweetness
- 2 cups apple cider
- 3/4 cup brandy
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1-2 tsp caramel extract amount depends on sweetness
- 2 apples, sliced
- 1 orange, sliced
- 2 sticks cinnamon
- 2 star anise pods
- sparkling wine or ginger beer for topping
Combine all liquids except the sparkling liquid into a pitcher. Stir to combine
Add in apple and orange slices, along with cinnamon sticks and star anise and stir once more.
Place in the refrigerator for at least one hour to allow the flavors to come together.
Serve in a glass over ice, leaving enough space in the glass to top with sparkling wine, ginger beer or club soda. Garnish with cinnamon stick, star anise and/or rosemary. Enjoy!
