Hey ya’ll! I’m back with a really quick recipe that I promised Instagram would be here, so here it is! I LOVE ranch dressing…well, sort of. You couldn’t get me to eat ranch dressing out of a bottle. Something about the stabilizers and the fact that it’s not fresh just doesn’t jive with my tastebuds! But a good, homemade ranch dressing will bring me to my knees every time. I love the tangy, herbaceous flavor of homemade ranch and the smooth texture. It’s not too thick, but not super runny either and is perfect for both dipping and pouring over salad! What I love most about homemade ranch dressing is that it is completely customizable. You can adjust the herbs, the seasonings and the mayo/ranch/buttermilk blend until it suits your specific tastes, which is perfect for me. I love a good, creamy ranch with lots of dill and garlic flavor. The kind that may or may not leave you with a need to gargle with mouthwash…but who’s judging?!

As far as keto goes, this ranch dressing comes in right around 2g carbs! And without the addition of sweeteners or stabilizers or any other harmful ingredients. What’s better, if you are dairy free, you can sub 1:1 non-dairy versions of these ingredients and have ranch also! That’s just better for the world! N Before I post the recipe, I want to drop a few helpful hints that will help you should you run into any hangups along the way :

  • When you first mix the recipe together, it will taste fine, but will need to meld to balance all of the flavors. Let it rest for at least an hour before adjusting too far.
  • This recipe is a baseline. It’s what I enjoy as ranch flavor, but you can add cayenne, hot sauce, more or less garlic, etc. It’s a great starter recipe for a lot of other ranch variations
  • For the best results, make it a day ahead of using it. By that time both the texture and the flavor will be perfect for salads, dips or straight up drinking out of the bowl. I mean…huh?

A super easy and insanely flavorful ranch dressing that’s so creamy, you’ll be looking for things to dip into it! This recipe is what I call a baseline recipe because everyone’s ranch preference is different. If you want more of anything, add it in after the flavors set up to reach your ideal balance. This is guaranteed to be a keto staple at only 2g carbs per serving, no unnecessary ingredients and all of the flavor!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill, or 1 tbsp dried
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, or 1 tbsp dried
  • 1 clove garlic, grated, or 1/2 tsp granulated garlic
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp sweet paprika

Instructions:

How to cook Easy Creamy Buttermilk Ranch Dressing [KETO]

  2. Add in remaining ingredients and whisk to combine. Adjust for seasonings until you achieve your perfect balance of seasonings.
